MEELAL calls for peaceful environment during Board exams

Imphal, February 13 2026:
The Meetei Erol Eyek Loinasillol Apunba Lup (MEELAL), Kangleipak, has urged students, communities, and the public to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the upcoming Class X and XII board examinations.
In a press release issued today, MEELAL extended its best wishes to all students appearing for the exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) .
The Class X exams are set to commence on February 23, while Class XII exams will begin on February 17, taking place across Manipur.
MEELAL emphasized the importance of students approaching the exams with a calm and positive mindset, free from fear or unfair practices.
"Appear for your exams happily and confidently", the organisation stated, highlighting this as a pivotal moment in the students' academic journeys.
To prevent disruptions, MEELAL appealed to all communities in the region to avoid bandhs, blockades, or any other forms of agitation from the start until the conclusion of the examinations.
The group also announced that 34 volunteers will monitor exam centers Statewide, with special attention to Meitei Mayek question papers-scheduled for COHSEM on February 19 and BOSEM on March 13 .
MEELAL further sought active cooperation from the Manipur Police, civil society organisations (CSOs), and the public to maintain fairness and order during the process.
