Har Ghar Tiranga campaign held in Senapati

Senapati, August 12 2026:
The District Administration, Senapati, on Wednesday observed the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign at Senapati Public Ground with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm, as part of the nationwide campaign ahead of the 80th Independence Day.
The programme was attended by District Level Officers, teachers and school students from across the district.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Senapati Dharun Kumar S, IAS, said the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign provides an opportunity for citizens to express their love, respect and pride for the National Flag while strengthening the spirit of unity and patriotism.

He called upon all sections of society to actively participate in the campaign and urged officials and stakeholders to encourage households, educational institutions, community organisations and youth to display the Tricolour with due dignity and respect.
The programme also featured the Har Ghar Tiranga Pledge, administered under the leadership of Superintendent of Police, Senapati, Shaikh Mohd Zaib Zakir, IPS .
In his welcome address, SDC Panii Ngaonii highlighted the significance of the National Flag and stressed the importance of citizens understanding and adhering to the Flag Code of India.
He said the National Flag represents not only the nation but also its unity, pride, aspirations and the sacrifices of its people.
A signature campaign on Har Ghar Tiranga was also conducted, led by the Deputy Commissioner and joined by district officials and other participants.
Meanwhile, the District Administration conducted a full dress rehearsal at Senapati Public Ground for the upcoming 80th Independence Day celebration.
During the rehearsal, the Deputy Commissioner took the salute from six parade contingents comprising personnel of the CRPF, IRB, Police (Men and Women) and VDF, along with the band party of 16 Assam Rifles.
The parade was commanded by D Theingam Thangal, MPS, SDPO Senapati.
The rehearsal was conducted as part of the district administration's preparations to ensure the smooth and effective conduct of the Independence Day celebrations.
