Achievers felicitated at Ningthoukhong and Kakching for academic and civil service success

Outstanding achievers in the fields of civil services, academics and sports were felicitated at separate functions held in Ningthoukhong and Kakching today in recognition of their accomplishments and to inspire the younger generation.
At Ningthoukhong, the Shri Shri Radha Madhav Sebayet Committee organised a felicitation ceremony at Shri Shri Radha Madhav Temple to honour Rajkumar Dayananda, who secured the 32nd rank in the Manipur Combined Civil Services Competitive Examination (MCCSCE), 2022, and Rajkumar Robertson, who earned a gold medal in MSc Chemistry from Dhanamanjuri University in 2024.The programme was attended by Home and Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Govindas Konthoujam as the chief guest.
Retired NHPC Manager Rajkumar Shitaljit Singh presided over the function, while Secretary of the Governing Body of Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong, Rajkumar Promesh Singh, and Medical Officer-in-Charge of CHC Ningthoukhong, Dr Khwairakpam Sunilkumar, attended as guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Govindas Konthoujam highlighted the crucial role played by mothers in shaping the future of their children.
Recalling a quote attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte, he said that strong family values and the guidance of dedicated mothers often contribute significantly to the success of children and the progress of society.
The two achievers were presented gifts and honoured by the organisers in recognition of their accomplishments.
Meanwhile, Kakching District Police organised a separate felicitation programme to honour successful candidates of the UPSC and MPSC civil services examinations, meritorious students of Class X and XII examinations conducted by BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE, as well as outstanding sportspersons.
The function was attended by retired lecturer Dr N Pramodini, Sahitya Akademi Award recipient Moirangthem Rajen, former Vice-Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University Dr N Rajmuhon, KBBWA president Y Rajendra, Superintendent of Police Kakching Priyadarshini Laishram and Additional SP (LO) Kakching Shankerjit Loitongbam.
During the programme, six successfill civil service candidates, 46 students who secured outstanding marks in the Class X and XU examinations, and three sportspersons, including two serving officers of Kakching District Police, were felicitated with gifts in recognition of their achievements.
Addressing the gathering, SP Priyadarshini Laishram said the programme was organised to motivate students, athletes and young aspirants to strive for excellence and contribute towards building a progressive Kakching, Manipur and the nation.
Former Vice-Chancellor Dr N Rajmuhon encouraged the achievers to aim for greater success while upholding sincerity, hard work, discipline, morality and dedication.
Stressing the importance of innovative thinking and selfless service, he urged the young achievers to contribute positively to society and the nation, particularly during the challenging times being faced by the State.
