Bishnupur becomes first district in State with 100% computerised land records

Imphal, September 11 2013: Bishnupur has become the first district in Manipur to have cent percent computerised land records under the National Records Modernisation Programme (NLRMP) .

Presently, the computerisation of land record, which is being operated using Loucha Pathap, a software developed by NIC Manipur, and has covered 64 villages of the district which falls under the juridiction of 6 (six) SDCs.

Transaction process of the land record is also being carried out at the respective SDC and SDO offices with the help of circle mandals.

Distributing computerised land records to the land owners during a function held at the Mini Secretariat of Bishnupur district today, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh lauded the district administration for successfully finishing the land records computerisation process, and said that the new system would largely benefit land owners.

Besides, disputes regarding land would be mitigated.

Land survey to initiate land record computerisation is being conducted by Settlement Department and the state government is planning to complete the process of 100% land record computerisation of the four valley districts at the end of the current fiscal year, the Chief Minister said.

The new system of land record would enable to avail patta/Jamabandi to the land owners on payment of Rs 15 from the concerned SDC offices.

It would also prevent unauthorised staffs to change land record.

After the function, Chief Minister O Ibobi along with Commerce & Industry Minister Govindas Konthoujam; Parliamentary Secretary of Tourism and Sports Mairembam Prithviraj Singh; Dr I Ibohalbi Singh, MLA of Oinam AC; S Bira Singh, MLA of Kumbi AC; T Mangibabu Singh, MLA of Thanga AC and N Loken Singh, MLA of Nambol A/C went to Phubala to lay the foundation stone for the District Sports Complex of Bishnupur.

The upcoming Rs 9.40 crore (above) district sports complex project sanctioned under NLCPR in 2010-11 would consist of a gallery, pavilion, Hockey ground, basketball court, multi-purpose hall and a 60-beded hostel, the Chief Minister informed.

He assured that the three-year project will be completed within two years since the state Government is planning to build it on a war footing from October or November of the current year.

Later on, Chief Minister O Ibobi and other accompanying Ministers and MLAs visited the INA Complex at Moirang in Bishnupur district where he inspected the underground parking which is under construction.

He also visited the Takmu Water Sports Complex and Sendra Tourist spot for inspection.
