Drug users rounded up, handed over to rehabilitation centre

Thoubal, June 11 2024: In a bid to combat the issue of drug abuse, a team of Arambai Tenggol Unit-5 6 Waithou rounded up around 20 substance users from Usoipokpi Tharaorok till Sangomsang today.

Apart from rounding up the individuals, the Arambai Tenggol team also seized intoxicants from the rounded up individuals which were later destroyed and burnt by the team.

The said individuals were later produced in front of Khunai Kanba Apunba Meira Paibi Lup (KHUKAMPAL) Thoubal district president W Meipak and meira paibis of Waithou areas and they were handed over to a rehabilitation centre after advising them to refrain from using intoxicants for their wellbeing and for the society at large.
