Imphal, September 10 2025: The Association of Meiteis in the Americas (AMA) Endowment has invited proposals for small research grants of Rs 45,000 to Rs one lakh supporting 6-12 months of work that deepens knowledge, preservation and public understanding of Manipur.

A press release issued by the Association of Meiteis in the Americas (AMA) said that eligible applicants include graduate students, academics, independent researchers and NGOs with preference for early-career scholars based in Manipur or working closely with Manipuri communities.

Areas supported by the initiative include history and scriptures, digitization and preservation, conflict and society, economics and communities, arts and culture, identity and federalism, and regional geopolitics.

Research proposals (PDF format) may be submitted to [email protected] it said.
