Mega identification camp begins

A two-day mega identification and assessment camp for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) between the ages of 6 to 18 years in Tengnoupal district was kicked off today at Khangshim Village Community Hall with the goal of providing education to differently abled children.
The camp was conducted as part of the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) held in connection with the 5th anniversary of New Education Policy 2020 .
During the camp, aid and assistive devices were also distributed to the CWSN.
The camp was organised by the District Project Officer - Samagra Shiksha/Zonal Education Officer Tengnoupal in collaboration with Composite Regional Centre (CRC) Imphal, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) of the District Health Society Tengnoupal, District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) Tengnoupal and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) Regional Marketing Centre Guwahati.
Around 25 children with orthopedic disability, intellectual disability, hearing and visual impairment were assessed at the camp.
A similar camp will be held at Moreh Higher Secondary School on August 11 .
