Library observes 4th foundation day

Imphal, April 09 2025: Loyalam Public Library, Wangjing observed its 4th foundation day at Biopedia Biology Lecture Hall at Keishampat.

The event was accompanied with an award distribution ceremony and poetry session.

Akoijam Debendra Singh, president, Sahitya Samiti, Thoubal and retd Wing Commander, Airforce; Sarat Salam, founder, Loyalam Public Library, Wangjing; Yengkhom Indira Devi, retd DI of School Zone III, Thoubal, Manipur and Chartered Accountant Chongtham Sanjoy Singh graced the event as presidium members.

Meanwhile, Birendrajit Naorem, Sahitya Akademi Awardee moderated the poetry session.

On the occasion, the Yengkhom Indira Loyalam Public Library Award, Waikhom Samuyaima Ningsing Loyalam Public Library Khorirol Award and Salam Laiba Ningsing Loyalam Public Library Khorirol Award were bestowed on writers Sh Prahlad Sharma, Dr Salam Santibala Devi and Niranjan Usham respectively.

The awards come with cash, citation and a shawl.
