Imphal, March 09 2025: The Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal celebrated International Women's Day on Saturday at Sugar Spoon, Nagaram, Imphal.

The function was graced by Wangkhei AC MLA, Thangjam Arunkumar; Superintendent of Police, Reena Haobam and Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal president, Sovid Elangbam as presidium members, said a release issued by the club.

At the event, Thangjam Arunkumar and Reena Haobam shared their thoughts on women's empowerment, mentioning the aims to improve the social, economic & political status of women.

Sovid Elangbam said that the programme was organised to honour the achievements of women, recognising their struggle and reaffirming the commitment to gender equality & empowerment.

A short video of a few legendary women of Manipur Was also shown during the function.
