Kakching Library & Information Centre honours achievers at 27th Annual Award ceremony

Kakching, December 07 2025: The 27th award presentation ceremony of the Library and Information Centre, Kakching, was held today at sits auditorium hall located at Kakching Phousupat Leikai to honour meritorious students and achievers from various fields.

The event was graced by secretary of Manipur State Kala Akademi Imphal, Sunanda Thokchom; Practising Chartered Accountant and Adjunct Faculty of MIMS Kshetrimayum Kunjabi Singh; former vice-chancellor of DM University Prof Nongmaithem Rajmuhon Singh; principal of Kha Manipur College, Kakching, Okram Rudrababu Singh; and former president of Library and Information Centre, Kakching, Dr Naorem Giridhari Singh, who served as presidium members.

A total of 50 awards were presented during the ceremony to outstanding achievers that included students, doctors, players, and professionals from diverse fields.

Among the receivers were Kshetrimayum Komolini and Kshetrimayum Mangal, who received the Moirangthem Khongnemba Singh Memorial Old Age Awards'.

The 'Naorem Amuba Singh Teachers' Award' was conferred on Ksh Manaobi, while the 'Naorem Bhubon Memorial Award' (Art & Culture) went to Kshetrimayum Surchand (Pung Yeiba).

The 'Naorem Bhubon Memorial Award' (Commerce & Industry) was presented to Naorem Rameshwor.

The Nongmaithem Kokngang Singh Farmers Award' was presented to Nongmaithem Ibomcha, and the Nongmaithem Maipak Devi Mothers' Award' was awarded to Yengkhom Sugandhi.

Meanwhile, the 'Yengkhom Ibochouba Singh and Tanou Devi Best Manipuri Pony Earners' Award' was presented to Deventy Khundongbam for his notable contribution to preserving the Manipuri Pony, while the 'Dr Moirangthem Kesho Singh Memorial Award' was conferred on Dr Nongmaithem Nabakishore.

All awardees receive certificates along with cash prizes as recognition of their accomplishments.
