Imphal, August 07 2025: A CRPF Constable stationed at New Keithelmanbi Ashram post, Imphal West under Patsoi police station was found hung to death last night.

The deceased CRPF Constable belonging to G/120 Bn has been identified as Mohit Sen (24) s/o Anandi Lal of Ranibadod village, Shajapur district, Madhya Pradesh.

Mohit Sen was supposed to be on duty at the sentry tower from 9 pm to 11 pm.

As he was not seen on the sentry tower during his duty hours, fellow CRPF personnel searched for Mohit Sen and he was found hung to death from a tree using the sling of his service weapon (Insas rifle), about 10-15 metres away from the sentry tower.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered at Patsoi police station in connection with the incident.

The dead body of Mohit Sen will be sent to his native village on August 8 even though post mortem was conducted today at RIMS mortuary under full video coverage in the presence of a Duty Magistrate.
