Dialysis service concludes at SKY Hospital

SKY Hospital, in collaboration with the Manipur Heart Foundation, successfully concluded its 3rd edition of Free One-Month Long Dialysis Service on January 31, 2026 .
The service, provided as a New Year's gift, benefited patients suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) who belong to BPL families, the Economically Weaker Section of society, and those with various heart diseases, said a release issued by SKY Hospital, The camp, which ran from January 1 to January 31, provided 20 free lifesustaining dialysis sessions to CKD patients.
The patients also received heart care and assistance with controlling diabetes and hypertension, which are common causes of CKD .
The initiative is part of the hospital's ongoing life-saving endeavours, with such free services offered periodically and upon request.
The philanthropic service brought immense relief to many families.
Tombi, wife of Ibungochouba, was visibly emotional and expressed her happiness and gratitude for the timely and critical support provided to her husband, whose life depends on continuing dialysis therapy, also known as renal replacement therapy.
Dr Shyamkishore Lairikyengbam, Chief Cardiologist & Physician of SKY Hospital, Imphal, expressed his satisfaction with the public's enthusiastic response to the camp.
He appealed to the people of Manipur to take advantage of similar free camps conducted by SKY Hospital and the Manipur Heart Foundation in the future.
