RIMS concludes Swachhata Hi Seva 2026

The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal organised the closing ceremony of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 and launch of Special Campaign 6.0 at the Old OPD Block, RIMS Hospital on Friday.
The programme was graced by RIMS Director Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Medical Superintendent Prof N Sanjib Singh and Nodal Officer, SAP/Kayakalp Prof Y Govindaraj Singh, and witnessed active participation from the Dean (Academics), Heads of Departments, faculty members, nursing officials, staff, students and personnel from CRED and MSS.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Sunil Kumar said cleanliness is a continuous process and should be sustained throughout the year as per directives of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
He credited the RIMS community for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring quality services.
He also highlighted the need for renovation or replacement of ageing hostels and referred to the proposed 750-bedded multi-storey hospital.
He said after Swachhata Hi Seva, a month-long cleanliness initiative will continue.
Prizes were distributed to winners of competitions held during SHS 2026.Cash prizes and certificates were given to best-performing sanitary and housekeeping staff.
The Director declared the launch of Special Campaign 6.0 and called for collective efforts for a cleaner, healthier environment.
