State JD(U) team meet Union Minister

A delegation of Janata Dal (United) Manipur State Unit met Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Ramnath Thakur and urged him to put pressure on the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister to resolve the Manipur crisis at the earliest.
The JD(U) MSU team led by vice president Shanjoy Ahanthem and secretary general Maisnam Dorendro called on the Union Minister at his official residence at Swama Jayanti Sadan, New Delhi today.
The team apprised Ramnath Thakur about the conflict which erupted on May 3 last year in detail.
In response, the Union Minister praised Manipur as a major contributor in sports, art and culture and many other fields.
Assuring to exert all efforts from his side to bring peace in Manipur, Ramnath Thakur shared that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also takes the Manipur crisis very seriously.
He added that the JD(U) National President has been advising both the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to bring an amicable solution soon.
Later, the JD(U) MSU team also called on JD(U) senior MP Ramprith Mandal at North Avenue, New Delhi and sought his help in ending the crisis.
The MP also provided assurance to extend all help possible.
