Faculty Development Programme concludes

The one-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Augmenting Teaching Management Skills Using Innovative Technologies", organised by Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, successfully concluded today at the Conference Hall of the College of Agriculture, Iroisemba.
The programme, which ran from February 23 to March 1, 2026, was designed with the objective of strengthening faculty competencies in innovative and technology-enabled teaching, academic management, and digital learning practices in higher agricultural education.
On the final day, Dr G Jaya, Senior Advisor (HRM), WASSAN and former Director, MANAGE, Hyderabad, delivered expert lectures focusing on "Communication arid Soft Skills in Teaching" .
These sessions included practical, hands-on activities emphasizing effective academic communication, presentation skills, and classroom interaction strategies.
The FDP's comprehensive curriculum included 19 expert lectures by 15 specialists from various renowned institutes across India, 5 practical sessions, and 5 group presentations by participants to enhance teaching innovation and digital proficiency.
A total of 32 faculty members and scientists from various constituent colleges of CAU participated in and successfully completed the training.
The programme offered a valuable platform for academic interaction, knowledge sharing, and capacity building in technology-enabled teaching methodologies.
The valedictory session concluded with the awarding of the best presentations by the participants.
