Kakching, December 31 2024: In appreciation of the works carried out by the Sanitary workers of the Kakching Municipal Council in keeping the district clean, the Kakching Municipal Council as part of its every year celebration, observed the Sanitary Workers Day, 2024 today at its office in Kakching district.

The celebration held under the theme "Clean Kakching, Clean Manipur, Clean India was attended by Kakching Municipal Council, caretaker chairperson, N Sanjitkumar, caretaker vice-chairperson.

Ksh Jhaljit, executive officer, L Romesh, councillors and various staff of the Council.

As part of the celebration, a two minute silence was observed to honour the late sanitary workers who played a significant role in keeping Kakching district clean and tidy.

Speaking on the occasion, N Sanjitkumar, caretaker chairperson of the Council, lauded the efforts of the sanitary workers in keeping the district clean despite various hardships faced by the workers.

He further urged the people of the district to maintain hygiene and cleanliness and also appealed to cooperate with the workers.
