CM chairs NDA meeting on law and order

Imphal, April 22 2026:
Chief Minister Y Khemchand chaired a meeting with NDA MLAs at the CM's Secretariat today to discuss the prevailing law and order situation in the State.
The meeting reportedly began at 6.30 pm and continued till around 7.30 pm .
According to reports received by The Sangai Express, the Ministers and MLAs deliberated on several key issues, including the transfer of the Tronglaobi bomb attack case to the NIA, ongoing tensions between the Naga and Kuki communities, and the widespread protests in the valley districts.
The meeting also addressed ongoing developmental projects in the State.
Additionally, it is reported that the MLAs discussed their participation in tomorrow's Khongjom Day observance.
The meeting was attended by Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Tourism Minister Kh Loken and several MLAs viz Th Biswajit, Ram Muivah, Th Arunkumar, H Dingo, Kh Joykisan, L Rameshwar, T Robindro, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, Md Achab Uddin, K Robindro, Dr Y Radheshyam, Th Shanti, P Brojen and S Kunjakeswor.
The Chief Minister also shared about the meeting on his social media handles.
The post wrote, "Chaired a review meeting of Hon'ble NDA MLAs at the Secretariat today to assess the progress of developmental works and strategies for their timely completion.
Despite certain challenges affecting the pace, coordinated measures were deliberated to address them effectively through collective efforts.
