Imphal, April 19 2026:
The NSCN(IM) has categorically stated that the Kuki militants have crossed all tolerance limits.
The Naga militant group has condemned in the strongest possible terms the brutal killings of the two commuters - Chinaoshang Shokwungnao of Tashar village and Yaruingam Vashum of Kharasom CV village near Yaolen Kuki village on April 18, 2026 by Kuki SoO cadres.
"This flagrant behaviour of the Kuki militants who are being sheltered by the Indian security forces under SoO has exceeded all tolerance limits", said a press note issued by the MIP, NSCN(IM).
It said that their (Kuki militants) aggressive provocations not only escalate tensions but also inch towards a complete failure of the Indian State mechanism.
It added that the Nagas will be compelled to pursue all available defensive measures to safeguard their land and sovereignty.
It is no longer a mere claim, multiple local reports and testimonies have confirmed collusion between Indian security forces and Kuki armed groups under SoO, it said.
The Naga militant group said that the machination of Kukis by the Indian Government, a remnant policy of the old British Rule to serve their interest is certainly paying dividends trying to sabotage the Naga movement.
Condemning the loss of innocent lives, the NSCN (IM) called for an immediate independent and transparent investigation into the incident.
