Imphal, May 18 2026: The 9th 'Martyrs Memorial Day' was observed solemnly at different places within and beyond Manipur today.

As it was inconvenient to observe the day together with the people on account of the prevailing situation, the 'Martyrs Memorial Day was observed only at the party's central headquarters, district committees, branch committees, External Affairs headquarters, LAKSA (External Affairs), MPA general headquarters, battalions and sub-units, conveyed a press release issued by Koireng-led UNLF's Secretary of Publicity M Shak-Hen.

Flying the party's flag at half mast from 5 am to 5 pm, observing two-minute silence and offering of floral tributes to the martyrs and delivery of speeches by party leaders were the main highlights of the Martyrs Memorial Day, it said.
