Imphal, November 16:
Unidentified miscreants set on fire a Tata DI truck along the road of Koirou Loubuk under Singjamei Police Station at around 2.30 pm today.
A fire tender of the Fire Brigade which rushed in to put off the fire met with an accident.
However, there is no report of any injury.

According to police, the ill-fated Tata DI truck bearing registration no.MN-01K/9318 belongs to one Ranadas of Nagamapal.
Front portion including the tyres and the engine of the truck have been burnt beyond redemption in the fire.
The truck was found empty and who and why it was set on fire is yet to be known, the police said, adding that the remnants of the burnt Tata truck have been picked up by the Singjamei Police.
On hearing the report of the fire, a fire tender of the Fire Brigade Service rushed in to put off the fire.
Unfortunately, it met with an accident and turned turtle near the road leading to the incident site.
However, no one was injured in the incident.
No one has claimed responsibility for the arson at the time of filing this report.
