Ema Loktak Expo draws to a close

Imphal, November 10 2025:
The five-day Ema Loktak Expo 2025 concluded today amidst enthusiastic public participation and response at Sendra Public Ground in Bishnupur district.
The event was organized by BK Chanu Foundation and approved under the PMS Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, as per a statement.
A total of 60 stalls were allocated to various micro enterprises through the online process for the expo, which saw a footfall of approximately 10,000 visitors.
It successfully promoted women entrepreneurs, artisans, and MSMES from the State.
The entrepreneurs show-cased local products, crafts, and innovations.
Notable dignitaries present at the valedictory ceremony include Sh Manoj Sharma, Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India; Kangabam Bijya Chanu, chairperson, BK Chanu Foundation and president, North East Women Entrepreneurs Association (Manipur Chapter); Konjengbam Sana-hongba Singh, proprietor, KSM Fine Arts and G Bonny Sharma, renowned artist.
The final day witnessed programmes such as painting, singing, and dancing competitions for children (ages 4-12) and lucky draws for visitors.
Prizes were distributed to the winners by dignitaries.
The evening concluded with a grand musical night, marking the close of the expo.
The event, which commenced from November 10 celebrated the entrepreneurial spirit of Manipuri women and the cultural and ecological richness of the Loktak Lake- the Jewel of Manipur.
