Imphal, May 07 2026: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand has strongly condemned the violence reported this morning at the border villages of Namlee, Z Choro and Wanglee in Kamjong district, adding that strict action will be taken against those responsible.

In a Facebook post, Yumnam Khemchand shared that he is closely monitoring the situation and has directed security forces to take all necessary measures to restore peace and prevent any further escalation.

Calling such acts deeply concerning and unacceptable, he said the Manipur Government remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
