Floods submerge paddy fields in Peh, Chingjaroi
Source: The Sangai Express / Mungchan Zimik

Ukhrul, August 06 2026: Flash floods triggered by incessant rains flooded and destroyed vast tracts of paddy fields in different locations of Peh village, Ukhrul.

Sudden gush of river water from Mashakong river inundated paddy fields located on the western side of Peh village, while the overflowing water from Rangazak-Kong river on the eastern submerged low lying areas including paddy fields at Chingjaroi village, said Kharingyo of Peh village.
