Andro AC MLA Th Shyamkumar has stated that he may consider resigning if Central party leaders do not grant an audience to the State BJP MLAs oto discuss the return of a popular Government.
This statement came even as several BJP MLAs are currently in Delhi, reportedly to press the Central leadership for action on forming a Government.
Speaking to the media before departing for Delhi at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport today, Shyamkumar stated that BJP MLAs may have no other choice but to resign if Central party leaders do not grant them an audience.
BJP has the necessary numbers to form a Government which the people of Manipur desire, he said.
Stating that the Centre imposed President's Rule in Manipur to manage the crisis but extending it due to the absence of peace would also be unjustified, he said.
India is a democratic Nation and as such people's rights cannot be violated, the MLA said.
He went on to state that the BJP MLAs will press the Central leadership to form a Government in Manipur, reiterating that they may have no choice but to resign if the party leaders refuse to meet them.
The MLA questioned the purpose of being BJP MLAs if the party leaders continue to avoid them.
