The indefinite bandh called along the Imphal-Moreh since 6 pm of September 30 continued to affect normal life in the border town for the third consecutive days.
The bandh has been called jointly by All Manipur Students' Union, Chandel District Committee, Moreh and Kuki Students' Organisation, Moreh Block in protest against the failure of the Government to send a principal to Moreh Higher Secondary School.
On the third day of the bandh today, students of Moreh Higher Secondary School also staged a protest demonstration along Imphal-Moreh Road near Moreh police check post from 8 am to 5 pm.
On account of the bandh, normal life in the border town continued to remained crippled even as the bandh has given a serious impact on the border trade activities.
There is also no vehicular movement along the road for the third day today.
The bandh has been supported by leaders of various communities in the border town who have questioned the failure of the Government to send a principal despite the assurance given by the Education Minister during a joint meeting with the representatives of the agitating student bodies.
