Drugs worth Rs 4 Cr seized

CCpur, June 02 2022:
A joint team of the Border Security Force and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Sub Zone Imphal yesterday recovered about Rs 4 crore worth of drugs after it raided a house at Chura-chandpur's Thingkangphai.
Sources said the raid was conducted at about 1 am with the joint forces not willing to take chances of the culprit escaping their net.
A woman identified as Cingennuam W/o Khupkop-ching of Thingkangphai, was arrested from the spot as it is believed that the drugs recovered belongs to her.

The recovery includes 68 soap cases of heroin weighing 842 grams with an estimated value of Rs 4,21,00,000 in the international market.
It also includes 5.82 kgs of Opium worth Rs 5,82,000 .
A Vivo mobile handset was also recovered from the accused who was taken into the custody of NCB Sub-zone, Imphal.
