Adi Sewa Kendra inaugurated at Thawai village

Kamjong, September 29 2025:
The Adi Sewa Kendra under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, was officially inaugurated on Monday at Thawai Village, Phungyar Sub- Division, Kamjong District by Rangnamei Rang Peter, Deputy Commissioner, of Kamjong.
The launch event witnessed the participation of approximately 100 individuals, including village volunteers, representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs), self-help groups (SHGs), and senior districtlevel officials.
As part of the program, the United Development of Community Resource Management Society (UDCRMS) team presented the Village Vision 2030 and the Village Action Plan (VAP) to representatives from all concerned line departments.
The presentation outlined strategic development priorities and proposed interventions across key sectors, with an emphasis on participatory and sustainable rural development.
Subsequently, a Transect Walk was conducted within the village, facilitating a joint assessment of the local landscape by government officials and community members.
This exercise aimed to validate the Village Action Plan and ensure alignment between planned interventions and on-ground realities.
The establishment of the Adi Sewa Kendra marks a significant step toward strengthening decentralized governance, improving service delivery, and fostering inclusive development in tribal regions.
