Seminar on 'Medicine studies at Hong Bang International University' held

A one-day seminar on the International Medicine Programme offered at Hong Bang International University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam was held today at Hotel Classic, Imphal.
The seminar was jointly organised by Shiksha Mitra and Trinity Nexaveda.
Speaking as a resource person, Deputy Director of the University, Trang Nguyen Hoang said the university was established in 1997 and offers 51 undergraduate and 25 postgraduate programmes in different streams.
He said the Medical & Health Sciences Education Department was established in 2009 and has been producing quality professionals.
The Health Sciences Department offers Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing courses for international students including many from India.
He said MBBS, Dentistry and Pharmacy are 6-year courses while Nursing is a 4-year course.
After completion of the course including clinical training, students are provided a one-year internship at the university's own hospital inside the campus.
He said separate hostel and food facilities for Indian students, along with scholarship and job placement opportunities are provided.
He appealed to students from Manipur interested in health sciences courses to contact Dr Thokchom Premlata, Director, Trinity Nexaveda, Keishampat for pursuing quality education at the university.
Prof Vo Van Thang of the University, Shiksha Mitra delegates Deepa Sharma, Puneet Shanna and Senior Advocate Ibotombi Sapamcha also attended the programme.
