HIV/AIDS and drug abuse sensitization programme held

Kakching, August 29 2024: Social Awareness Volunteers Organisation (SASO) Kakching Irum Lamdong organised a one-day HIV/AIDS and drug abuse sensitization programme at Kakching Mayai Leikai Multipurpose Community Hall today.

The programme sponsored by Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) was attended by representatives of CSOs and NGOs in and around Kakching.

Notably, Ningthoujam Parango, District Project Officer, ICDS was present as the chief guest and Moirangthem Manihar, president, Social Welfare Sporting Club, Kakching Mayai Leikai as the functional president.

Meanwhile, Phanjoubam Lanngamba Meitei, assistant director, MACS delivered a lecture on "Basics of HIV/AIDS"; Hijam Kishorchand, Project Director, Anouba Mangal Trust Centre on "Drug abuse treatment and prevention" and Omajit Leishangthem, DA (IEC and MS) MACS on "HIV/AIDS Act 2017" .
