Voluntary blood donation camp held

Imphal, July 29 2024: In connection with the first birthday celebration of Lamabam Thoujal Meitei, s/o Sheilesh Lamabam and Sinam Menaka from Joypur Khunou in Bishnupur district, a voluntary blood donation camp was conducted today at Blood Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat.

The camp was jointly organised by Green Brigade Manipur, Green Defender Youth Bishnupur, Institute of Development Studies (IDS) Manipur, Life Savers Manipur (LISAM), Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Bishnupur District Branch and Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Bishnupur in association with Blood Centre, JNIMS, Porompat under State Blood Transfusion Council Manipur and MACS.

It was attended by Dr Konsam Surjit, MO in-charge, Blood Centre, JNIMS; Dr Romen, secretary IRCS Bishnupur District Branch; E Premjit, founder Green Brigade Manipur and joint secretary, IRCS Bishnupur District Branch; and K Padamkumar Sharma, managing director, Live Savers Manipur as presidium members.

Altogether, 8 persons donated their blood during the camp.
