Senapati, October 28 2024:
The Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) organised a surprise check across all District Level Offices, Block Level Offices and various departmental offices in the district today and found that many Government employees were missing or absent due to the ongoing ethnic violence which erupted last year.
The mission was initiated to check staff irregularities which has caused immense hardships and inconveniences to the public.
In this regard, SDSA has appealed to the State Government to arrange necessary staff or officers in all departments at the earliest for smooth functioning of the offices.
The Senapati district students apex body expressed dismay and shock upon finding that the doors of certain departments were locked during the inspection.
It has appealed to all heads of de-partments/offices to ensure punctuality and diligence to their assigned duties.
SDSA also expressed concern over inadequate staff and the lack of basic amenities, including power backup and internet connectivity in almost all the departments.
The Association added that it would be carrying out similar inspections in the days to come to address public grievances surrounding availability of Government facilities to the public.
SDSA has notified all the DLOs and staff with repeated offences to be strictly dealt with.
