DC Bishnupur felicitates district toppers of Higher Secondary Examination 2026

Bishnupur, April 28 2026: Position holders from Bishnupur district in the Higher Secondary Examination, 2026, across both Science and Arts streams were felicitated today by Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Pooja Elangbam congratulated the students for their outstanding achievement and securing positions in the Higher Secondary Examination, 2026.She encouraged them to develop the skill of critical thinking from this stage of their lives, stating that it would play a crucial role in shaping their future.

She also advised the students to strike a balance between academics and personal interests, emphasising that hobbies contribute significantly to the overall development of an individual.

Stressing the importance of reading habits, she urged students to keep good company and build confidence to express themselves effectively in all situations.

"Even the greatest ideas hold little value if they remain unexpressed", she remarked.

The DC further appealed to parents to continuously motivate and guide their children, while avoiding undue pressure regarding career choices.

She encouraged parents to stay in tune with their children's aspirations and support them in achieving their goals.

Organised by the District Administration Bishnupur, the felicitation programme was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Toijam Opendro, AC to DC Shagolsem Gunamani, and other officials.

As a gesture of encouragement, the students were presented with books by the DC and ADC.

The students also interacted with the officials, shared their aspirations in life, and expressed their gratitude for the encouragement and guidance they received.
