Classical Manipuri Solo Dance Festival begins at JNMDA

Imphal, October 27 2024: A 3-Days Classical Manipuri Solo Dance Festival 2024 organised by Manipur State Kala Akademi began today at the auditorium of JN Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Imphal.

The inaugural function was graced by Prof Hijam Tombi, former Vice Chancellor, Manipur University; M Joy, Commissioner, Art & Culture and L Joychandra, Vice Chairman, JNMDA, Imphal as presidium members.

During the event, the dignitaries spoke on the need to preserve & promote the classical dance forms of Manipur.

Releasing of the festival's brochure and Manipuri Solo Dance performances by Ngangom Bonny Chanu of Anoy Sindam Shanglen and Tongbram Roneld Meetei of Centre for Cultural Promotion were the main highlights of the event.
