Traffic advisory issued for Irawat Day

Imphal, September 26 2026: The Superintendent of Police, Traffic Control Police Wing, Manipur has issued a traffic advisory in connection with the preparation and State-level observance of Jana Neta Hijam Irawat Day, 2026 on September 30 at Irawat Square, Lilasing Khongnang Khong.

As per the advisory, traffic regulations and diversions will be enforced from 2 pm of September 27 till the conclusion of the programme on September 30, except for fire service, ambulance and other emergency vehicles.

For stage preparation and cleaning from 2 pm of September 27, the northern side of the road median between Manipur Assembly Gate No 1 and Lilashing Khongnang Khong will be used as a two-way road with adequate deployment of traffic personnel.

In case of heavy congestion between Khong Ani Karak and Lilashing Khongnang Khong, vehicles towards Lilashing Khongnang Khong will be diverted at Khong Ani Karak towards North AOC, Lamlong Bridge or Sangakpham.

On September 30 till the end of the programme, diversions will be enforced at Khong Ani Karak - vehicles towards Lilashing Khongnang Khong to be diverted towards North AOC, Lamlong Bridge or Sangakpham; at Lilashing Khongnang Khong - vehicles from Cheiraoching and Sinam Leikai to be diverted towards western side of DM College Road (Khuyathong) or Watham Leirak; and at Watham Leirak Crossing -vehicles from Fishery Crossing to be diverted towards western side of DM College Road, while vehicles from Khuyathong towards Fishery Crossing.
