Swachhta Students' Camp concludes

The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, has successfully organised a 3-Day Swachhta Students' Camp from January 23 to 25, 2025.Guided by the theme "Swabhav Swachhta Sanskar Swachhta", the initiative aimed to instill values of cleanliness, sustainability, and community participation among 150 students from schools across Manipur.
According to a release issued by RIMS, the camp featured a range of educational programs, including expert-led sessions on infection control, hand hygiene, oral health care, and proper waste management.
To promote environmental stewardship, practical activities such as tree plantation drives and waste segregation exercises were organised.
Students also participated in creative competitions, including poster-making, slogan-writing, quizzes, Yoga & meditation and painting competition emphasizing behavioural transformation and cultural values.
Interactive discussions with educators, healthcare professionals, environmentalists, and social activists encouraged dialogue on climate change and individual responsibility.
The event concluded with a ceremony celebrating the participants' efforts.
Students were awarded the RIMS Swachhta Campaigner Badge and certificates, recognizing their contributions and inspiring them to act as ambassadors for cleanliness and sustainability.
By equipping students with the tools and knowledge to lead by example, the camp represents a significant step toward achieving the Swachh Bharat Mission.
The programme aligned with the vision of the Prime Minister, emphasizing cleanliness as a national priority.
