"I pledge for 9 Achievers Awards" ceremony held

Imphal, September 24 2024: Maternal Health Division, State Health Society, National Health Mission, Manipur & Directorate of Health Services, Government of Manipur organised "I Pledge for 9 Achievers Awards" ceremony at Hotel Classic Grande, Chingmeirong, Imphal today.

At the event, Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan highlighted the necessity to protect and promote maternal health in the society.

He stressed on mental and physical wellbeing of women and said that the Govt is committed to improving maternal health by emphasising on the vision to reduce maternal deaths close to zero.

He informed that the Government has launched various health schemes at the National and State level in order to promote the standard of health of the people.

The Health Department has also been organising numerous health programmes to generate awareness on the schemes among the public from time to time, he added.

He highlighted the need for putting in joint efforts and cooperation between different Departments to improve public health.

In recognition of their service, the Minister distributed various awards during the event.
