3rd Faculty Induction Programme kicks off at CoA

A week-long Faculty Induction Programme for newly recruited faculties and scientists of all the constituent colleges of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal kicked off today at the Conference Hall of College of Agriculture (CoA), Iroisemba, Central Agricultural University (CAU) Imphal.
The 3rd Faculty Induction Programme is being organised by the Directorate of Instruction, CAU, Imphal on the theme, "Innovative Technologies in Teaching, Research & Extension".
The inaugural session was graced by Prof Ch Ibohal Meitei, Director, Research and Development Cell, Manipur University; Prof L Nabachandra, Department of Agronomy; N Gopimohan Singh, Head, Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities; Prof LK Mishra, Co-course coordinator FIP; Prof Y Ranjana Devi, Cocourse coordinator FIP; and Prof N Brajendra Singh, Cocourse coordinator as presidium members.
Delivering the welcome address, Prof Y Ranjana Devi expressed her gratitude to CAU, Imphal, Vice Chancellor, Dr Anupam Mishra and Director of Instruction, Prof Indira Sarangthem for their guidance and support in organising the Faculty Induction Programme.
She also enlightened the gathering on the recent developments in CAU Imphal.
Prof Ch Ibohal Meitei said that building a competent workforce is of paramount importance for enhancing the economy.
He encouraged all the newly recruited faculties and scientists to employ innovative methods of teaching to equip the young students with tools and knowledge to increase their competencies and contribute to the economic development of the Nation.
He also advised the participants to value time and to work hard for continuous improvement at their personal and Institutional level.
Prof N Brajendra Singh stressed on the need to put sincere efforts and dedication which will help CAU, Imphal to scale greater heights.
Prof L Nabachandra Singh, N Gopimohan Singh and Prof LK Mishra spoke on the importance of organising the Faculty Induction Programme for newly recruited faculty members and scientists.
They expressed their hope that the participants will benefit from all the three phases of the Faculty Induction Programme and work for the progress of the University.
Notably, the 3rd Faculty Induction Programme is being attended by 48 newly recruited faculty members of the 13 constituent colleges of CAU, Imphal.
Eminent experts from renowned institutions will share their knowledge with the participants during the different technical sessions to be held during the seven days.
