Workshop cum production on 'Prabhas Khanda' wraps up

Imphal, September 23 2024: The month-long workshop cum production on "Prabhas Khanda" organised by Guru Ibempishak Cultural Academy (GIPCA), Uripok Khaidem Leikai concluded yesterday at Ranganiketan Mandap, Sangaiprou.

The workshop cum production was conducted under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The valedictory function was attended by JNMDA Director, Pukhrambam Bilash Singh; Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee, Leimapokpam Lakhpati and Directorate of Art & Culture, Deputy Director (Programme), Gurumayum Dharmadas Sharma as presidium members.

At the event, GIPCA secretary Anandi Devi elaborated on the need to teach traditional art forms including Sankirtana to the present generation in order to promote & preserve the cultural heritage of Manipur.

Pukhrambam Bilash stressed on the need to preserve the art & culture of the State and lauded GIPCA for conducting the month-long workshop to promote "Prabhas Khanda".

Later, the dignitaries presented certificates to the members of GIPCA.
