AT organises free medical camp

Arambai Tengol (AT) Unit-23 Heigrujam organised a free medical camp at Kangmong Maisnam Leikai Public High School on Sunday.
The medical camp was conducted under the sponsorship of Dr Taorem Yaikhomba Khuman, Managing Director, Angel Children Hospital.
During the camp, free health examinations/consultation were provided to more than 1000 individuals from Kangmong and surrounding areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Yaikhomba said that the medical camp was conducted to help the people of Kamong village who are facing a lot of hardship since the conflict began on May 3, 2023, due to proximity with Kuki villages.
He shared that a medical team which included specialist doctors from various departments such as Medicine, Paediatrics, Orthopedics, Gynaecology, Dermatology, Surgery, ENT and Physiotherapy provided free consultations and medicines to the patients during the camp.
He continued that the medical team also provided various services including free screening of sugar, Hb1ac, haemoglobin, cholesterol, uric acid and ECG.
Arambai Tengol Unit-23 Heigrujam finance secretary Naotomba Nongthombam appreciated all the people who contributed in making the medical camp a success.
He also stressed on the need to organise such medical camps regularly to help the people in the Red Zone who are unable to access proper medical facilities due to the ongoing conflict.
