BJP units remember party's founder, plant saplings

Imphal, June 23 2021: BISHNUPUR: As part of 'Balidan Diwas' observed across the country to mark the death anniversary of BJP founder Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, BJP Oinam Mandal conducted a tree plantation drive at its Keinou Thongkha office premises on Wednesday.

Leaders of BJP Oinam Mandal paid rich floral tributes to the portrait of Dr Mukherjee before the tree plantation drive was conducted.

Paying of floral tributes and tree plantation was led by Oinam MLA and Manipur Pollution Control Board chairman Laishram Radhakeshore.

He also distributed saplings to BJP workers for planting the same at booth level in every polling station of Oinam AC.

BJP Oinam Mandal president Th Mangi Singh, Kishan Morcha state secretary Ch Ibohal Singh, Bishnupur district general secretary H Iboyaima and Mahila Morcha Mandal president L Sunitibala also took part in the event.

Another tree plantation programme was held at Loukoipat Ecological Park, Bishnupur which was participated by Management Committee of Loukoipat Eco Park chairman and DC (Bishnupur) Krishna Kumar, vice chairman Kh Phulinkanta Singh, Addl SP Luikham Lanmio, ADM H Bobby Sharma, SDO Bishnupur Momoni Doly and BJP Bishnupur district Mahila Morcha president L Premila.

THOUBAL: BJP Thoubal district observed 'Balidan Diwas' by paying homage to the late BJP founder on Wednesday at its office and conducted a tree plantation drive to mark the occasion.

The tree plantation drive at Tangjeng Ningthou Khubham was led by BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary P Premananda and BJP Thoubal district president Y Kumarjit.

Around 2,600 saplings of different varieties were planted during the drive.

On the other hand, a mass tree plantation drive was conducted on Wednesday to mark 'Balidan Diwas' observance at Khangabok.

The tree plantation drive was organised jointly by BJP Khangabok Mandal and BJYM Khangabok Mandal.

Former candidate and BJP Manipur Pradesh former vice president Thokchom Jadumani led the plantation drive along NH-102 Imphal-Moreh road from Arong Thong to Tentha on both sides of the road.

NONEY: As a part of Balidan Diwas & death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, BJP Tamenglong mandal organised a mass tree plantation drive at Rangkhung Part-I, Noney district on Wednesday.

The plantation drive was conducted at the peripheral of Rangkhung Part-I playground and was led by Huri Golmei, an intending candidate of Tamenglong AC in the forthcoming election.

SENAPATI: Joining with the rest of the country, BJP Senapati district observed Balidaan Di-was in commemoration of the death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

Members of the party planted tree saplings at the District Council New Office Building Complex in the presence of ADC chairman A Kapani and BJP Senapati district president Thaikho Peter.
