Jiribam, February 23 2025: The 52nd Annual conference of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad (MSPJ) was held today at the office of Jiri Ima Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (JIMPAL).

The event was attended by Art & Culture, Govt of Manipur, Director, K Dinamani Singh, Machakhol Cachar, Assam president, S Jayanti Devi, Assam University, Asst Professor, Dr H Rajmani Singh and Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Jiribam, president, Tha Panthoi as presidium members.

As part of the event, the dignitaries were honoured with Namphi shawl and the chief guest inaugurated the function by lighting the candle.

The gathering also observed one-minute silence to pay respect to those martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the ongoing violence in the State.

At the event, S Babatomb Singh was awarded "Thokchom Dayanidhi Ningsing Nat-Sankirtan Award, 2025", while S Nabakumar Singh was awarded "Moirangthem Churamuhan Ningsing Sahitya Award, 2025" and L Bijanti Devi was awarded "Sinam Tanubabu Ningsing Sahitya Award, 2025" .

A book titled "Jiri Leikol" produced by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Jiribam was also launched during the event.

Later, a poetry recitation session was also held moderated by L Shrutikumar Singh, of Hojai.
