Bishnupur, January 23 2025: The Kumbi Local Council, Communist Party of India organised an extended council meeting at Kumbi Bazar today to discuss the challenges currently faced by the State.

According to a press release issued by Ch Sarat, district secretary, Bishnupur District Council, CPI, the gathering has urged the State Government to list the Manipur conflict as an important agenda of discussion at the upcoming Assembly session slated to be held in February and collectively resolve to end the crisis.

The gathering also resolved to demand special economic packages to improve the lives of people affected by the conflict.

The meeting was graced by L Thoiren, State secretary, MSC/CPI; L Sotinkumar, former secretary, MSC/CPI and M Joykumar Luwang, assistant secretary, MSC/CPI .
