BSEM takes up steps for smooth HSLC-2014

With the objective of conducting the ensuing High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination fairly and smoothly, the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) convened a meeting of all officers-in-charge (OCs) of private centres at its Conference Hall here today.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of BSEM Potsangbam Dhanakumar.
During the meeting, Chairman Dhanakumar told the OCs to teach good values to students and not cheating during examinations.
He further said that HSLC Examination is the first and most crucial examination in a student's life.
The students should be motivated to work hard and not to use unfair means during the examination.

The OCs and invigilators should do their duties responsibly and prevent the students from using unfair means.
The committee of private centres should also render utmost cooperation to the Board to conduct the ensuing HSLC Examination fairly and smoothly, the Chairman added.
Secretary of BSEM L Rajmohan also instructed the OCs of private centres to obtain the question papers of HSLC Examination in presence of the supervising officers approved by the Board.
The OCs should inform the Board officials if the supervisors are found to be absent.
He also appealed to all OCs and invigilators to know their responsibilities well and perform their duties sincerely to prevent students from using unfair means and ensure smooth conduct of the examination.
The OCs also maintained that they would take up appropriate measures to prevent the students from using unfair means and conduct the HSLC Examination smoothly at the private centres.
The HSLC Examination-2014 conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur would commence from February 20 next month.
