Cleanliness drive launched in Senapati ahead of Republic Day

Senapati, January 21 2026: In preparation for the up-coming Republic Day celebrations, the District Administration of Senapati on Wednesday organized a massive cleanliness drive at the Mini Secretariat Complex, Senapati, and other key public locations.

The initiative aimed at improving the overall aesthetic appeal and hygiene of the town, covering prominent areas including the Astro Turf ground, banking offices, the multi-level parking facility, and several public thoroughfares.

Heads of various government departments, along with their office staff, actively participated in the drive by cleaning their respective offices and the surrounding premises.

The designated areas included office buildings, approach roads, entrance gates, waiting sheds, gardens and adjoining spaces.

As part of the drive, participants undertook sweeping, clearing of overgrown bushes and weeds, and collection of plastic litter.

The accumulated waste was subsequently disposed of through garbage collection vehicles.

The cleanliness drive forms part of the District Administration's commitment to ensuring a clean and dignified environment for the national celebration, while also promoting a sense of civic responsibility among government employees and the general public.
