Workshop on mental health and career guidance held at Senapati

Senapati, April 19 2026:
A one-day workshop on Mental Health & Career Guidance was successfully conducted in Senapati on Saturday, bringing together students and experts for an engaging and insightful programme.
The workshop was organized by the Dollang Chiru Students' Union in collaboration with IQAC, Mount Everest College (Autonomous), under the theme, "Your mind matters, your future counts".
The programme commenced with an opening prayer by Rev James Thoitak, Pastor of Dollang Chiru Baptist Church.
The session was moderated by Churchill Sekho, General Secretary, DCSU, while the welcome address and introduction were delivered by Pd.
Alen Chiru, President, DCSU.
The workshop featured informative sessions led by resource persons Niomchung Jatak, Assistant Professor and IQAC Coordinator, Sangailung Gonmei, Counselor.
The speakers emphasized the importance of mental well-being, self-awareness, and making informed career choices, topics that resonated deeply with the participants.
A total of 157 participants attended the workshop and actively engaged in the discussions.
The vote of thanks was delivered by William Zatung, Literary Secretary, DCSU.
The program concluded with a closing prayer by Peniel Thoirei, member of the Dollang Village Authority.
Participants expressed that the workshop significantly enhanced their understanding of mental health issues and provided clarity in career planning.
The initiative was widely appreciated for boosting confidence and motivation among attendees, leaving a lasting and meaningful impact.
