Imphal, December 16 2024: Seven suspects belonging to KCP People's War Group (PWG) are being questioned in connection with the killing of two migrant workers at Keirak, Kakching district on December 14 .

Responding to queries raised by media persons by the sideline of Vijay Diwas celebration at 1st MR banquet hall today, Chief Minister N Biren vehemently condemned the killing of the two migrant workers.

He expressed strong suspicion that the killing was politically motivated and it was committed by an armed group.

Security forces have so far pulled up seven suspects belonging to KCP(PWG) in connection with the killing and they are being questioned, Biren said.

Whether the suspects were involved in the dastardly killing will be known once the interrogation is over, the Chief Minister said.
