Thoubal, October 16 2024: As observed across the globe, World Food Day was celebrated at YK College, Wangjing in Thoubal district today.

The ceremony was jointly organised by the YK College Wangjing and AFSTI Manipur Chapter and various food stalls were opened.

Notable dignitaries at the gathering include Th Joykumar, Proprietor, Thangjam Agro Industries; Professor Soibam Giri, Principal, YK College; M Dhaneshwar, former head of Department of Animal Science, CAU and Bandana N, Subject Matter Specialist as presidium members among others.

On the occasion, Dr Suraj L, Life Member, AFSTI delivered a lecture on "Identification of available plastics as packaging medium" while Dr N Shovarani, Assistant Professor, YK College spoke on "Healthy lifestyle- a happy life" .
