Imphal, August 16 2025: The Joint Co-ordinating Committee, 91 Meitei Langol has urged the authorities concerned to initiate repair works of the road stretch from National Game Village Zone IV to Zone I which is in a deplorable condition.

Speaking to the media, JCC president Sh Devananda Mangang said that the road stretch from Zone IV to Zone I has become dangerous due to numerous potholes, cracks and uneven surface.

He asserted that whenever it rains, the potholes become difficult to spot as they are filled with rainwaters.

Voicing strong frustration over the deteriorating road condition and the quality of blacktopping work that came off just after 2/3 months, he demanded accountability from contractors and civic officials.

He also urged the Government to initiate measures to repair the road without further delay for the safety and wellbeing of the people.

Furthermore, Devananda warned of launching intense agitation from the second week of September if the repair work is not initiated at the earliest.
