Imphal, February 16 2026:
The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) has strongly condemned an incident of violence that occurred last night, involving a bomb detonation near the residence of a KZC chairman and stonepelting at the home of its spokesperson.
In a release, KIM described the acts as "unbrotherly" and "deeply regrettable", urging the community to maintain unity.
The organisation emphasized the need for collective action toward shared goals rather than internal conflict.
KIM urged everyone to exercise restraint and avoid violence, labeling such actions as "shameful; reprehensible, and detrimental to our collective cause".
Highlighting their shared heritage, the KIM stressed that members of the community should not treat one another as adversaries.
