Awareness programme for fish farmers organised

CCPur, October 15 2026: An awareness-cum-distribution programme for certificates for fish farmers was held today at S Kawtlian village as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.The programme was organised by the District Fishery Office under the aegis of the District Administration Churachandpur.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of Md Ziaur Rahaman, District Fishery Officer, Churachandpur.

The programme aimed to improve awareness of government support schemes and inform local fanners about the assistance and opportunities available to them.

During the programme, officials distributed fish farmer certificates to 47 beneficiaries.

Information was provided on the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and fish farmers' insurance schemes to familiarise participants with the benefits, opportunities and insurance coverage available under the schemes.
